Quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, Lamar Jackson, continues to be at the centre of intensive trade speculation. He’s reportedly growing frustrated with the club’s GM, Eric Da Costa, over stalled contract talks and the lack of new talent in the team.

Baltimore insiders say that Jackson nearly cut ties with key advisors over his contract impasse, as well as gaps in the roster and repeated failure in the playoffs. With the NFL’s March 6th deadline rapidly approaching, Jackson’s future casts a long shadow over the Ravens and their future.

Agent Power Play Emerges

This uncertainty has led to elite NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus aggressively attempting to take over Jackson’s representation, confidently stating, “I deliver elite QBs to true Super Bowl contenders.” The in-demand Quarterback is currently sidelined with a nagging ankle injury that could mean he never suits up for the Ravens again.

It’s an eventuality that’s more likely than not, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who laid it bare, saying that Jackson’s time in Baltimore is “Nearing the end.” The dual MVP is angry at another early postseason exit, and at 28 years of age, he’s about to enter the peak years of his promising career.

Despite Jackson having an impressive season, the Ravens have limped to a record of 8-9, meaning that they’re teetering on the edge of not making the playoffs. There’s expected to be tough competition for Jackson’s signature, too, as the Buffalo Bills, the Las Vegas Raiders, and even the Pittsburgh Steelers are sniffing around.
