More Than Quarter of Olympic Federations in Russia Are Sponsored by Bookmakers

Bookmakers financially support 13 Russian Olympic federations.
Ten summer sports and three winter sports have betting companies as sponsors, making up around 27% of all organizations, i.e., more than a quarter.
Ten out of 35 Russian Olympic federations for Olympic summer sports are sponsored by betting operators, many of which have a high bookmaker rating. These are:
- Basketball Federation — FONBET, Winline
- Boxing Federation — Liga Stavok
- Volleyball Federation — PARI
- Wrestling Federation — Olimpbet
- Judo Federation — FONBET
- Rugby Federation — PARI
- Gymnastics Federation — FONBET
- Handball Federation — Olimpbet
- Badminton Federation — BetBoom
- Surfing Federation — BetBoom
In winter sports, three out of 13 federations also cooperate with bookmakers:
- Hockey Federation — Liga Stavok
- Biathlon Federation — PARI
- Figure Skating Federation — FONBET
This indicates the growing influence of betting on the development of sports in the Russian Federation.
