DraftKings and UFC Launch Joint Responsible Gambling Campaign
American gambling operator DraftKings and MMA promotion UFC have announced an advertising initiative to promote responsible gambling.
In a recently revealed partnership, UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and DraftKings (an American gambling company with headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, that provides sportsbook and daily fantasy sports [DFS] services) have created a responsible gaming advertisement with MMA (mixed martial arts) commentator Jon Anik. In the ad, Anik highlights the Responsible Gaming Center of one of the world’s top online betting companies through its app.
In fact, a 15-second version of the ad debuted on June 6, the day before the ceremonial weigh-in for UFC 316, and the 30-second version debuted on June 7, the day of the fight, with two slots. Additionally, the 15-second version will be showcased on social media for the rest of the year and during the UFC 318 broadcast on July 19.
DraftKings Was Named UFC’s First-Ever Official Sportsbook and DFS Partner in US and Canada in 2021
In 2021, DraftKings became the first official sportsbook and daily fantasy partner of the UFC in the United States and Canada. More recently, this month, the operator released its complete Q1 2025 financial data. Despite a US$33.9 million net loss, the company’s revenue for the quarter was US$1.41 billion, up 20% from the previous year.
In addition, DraftKings has recently been the target of legal action after Micro-Gaming Ventures filed a lawsuit alleging patent infringement in May.
