Where and When Will the MLBB: IESF World Esports Championship 2024 Be Held?

Some of the heaviest international participation in MLBB eSports to date will take place at WEC24. With peak concurrent views of over 700,000 at prior editions, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has continuously been one of the most-watched titles at the World Esports Championship.

The best players worldwide will compete for a prize pool of $280,000 combined. The tournament in the capital of Saudi Arabia will feature two separate championships. Eighty-eight men’s and 49 women’s teams have registered to take part. The top 12 women’s teams and the top 16 men’s teams have advanced to represent their nations in the main event following a difficult months-long series of national and regional qualifiers.

Which Teams Will Take Part in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang: IESF World Esports Championship 2024?

The list of participants in the tournament has already been formed. The teams, as stated, went through a series of qualifying tournaments before reaching the final championship.

The top 2 from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. Participants from groups A and D and B and C will play each other in the Bo3 double-elimination knockout phase.

For women, due to the smaller number of participants, the tournament format will be different, both for groups and playoffs. Twelve teams will be placed in only two groups of six, competing in a round-robin format, with best-of-one matches:

• Group A — Egypt, Guatemala, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Uzbekistan;
• Group B — Argentina, Cambodia, Colombia, Mongolia, Nepal, Ukraine.

The top 2 teams from each group advance to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs. The losers in the first round of the playoffs will play the third-placed teams in the Lower Bracket and get an additional chance to advance to the grand final. The women’s event playoffs will have best-of-three matches played in a double-elimination format.

Features of the MLBB: IESF World Esports Championship 2024

The tournament will start on November 12, when the men’s teams will play group-stage matches. The knockout matches will be held on November 14 and 15.

The women’s group stage of the tournament will be held on November 16 and 17, with the knockout matches scheduled for the 18th and 19th.

One of the tournament’s special features is that the championship will be held just before the M6 World Championship, the final event of the MLBB 2024 competitive season, which will be played in Malaysia. For many participants, Asians in particular, this is the last test before the battle for the status of the strongest Mobile Legends team in 2024.
