Two BetBoom-sponsored Playground events (BetBoom is a widely recognized betting company) will be hosted in 2025 in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade: in July (the one we discuss here, which will be the series debut) and September, by the tournament’s sole organizer, FISSURE. Eleven more are planned by the end of 2028. In 2022, FISSURE, a broadcasting studio and tournament organizer based in Armenia, began hosting tournaments and broadcasts for Mobile Legends, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike 2. They moved their headquarters to Belgrade, Serbia, last year.
FISSURE, the organizer of all BetBoom Dacha events (a series of BetBoom-sponsored offline Counter-Strike 2 tournaments that are regarded as high-tier competitions), has joined the prestigious ESL, which was the only CS2 tournament organizer to have events planned for July 2025, in what seems to be a jam-packed 2025 calendar.
Where and When Will the FISSURE Playground #1 Be Held?
The FISSURE Playground #1 will be held between July 15 and July 20 and will welcome the best 16 teams in CS2 at the moment at the event.
As said, it’s a LAN tournament which will be played in front of a crowd at the arena called Sava Centar, which will have several zones for the audience.
According to the original information, the US$1,000,000 was set aside for the prize pool, and US$400,000 was supposed to go to the winner. Nevertheless, in the meantime, the prize pool was reduced by more than half: US$450,000.
- Winner: US$150,000
- Runner-up: US$100,000
- 3rd-4th place: US$35,000
- 5th-8th place: US$17,500
- 9th-12th place: US$10,000
- 13th-16th: US$5,500
Which Teams Will Take Part in the FISSURE Playground #1?
All 16 teams will be invited to the FISSURE Playground #1 tournament based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). It’s planned that the top 16 CS2 teams all take part in the Belgrade event; however, no participant has been confirmed by now.

Features of the FISSURE Playground #1
There will be a Group Stage and the main event, the Playoffs, in the FISSURE Playground #1.
Sixteen teams will be divided into four Bo3 groups of four each for the Group Stage, which will be double-elimination GSL-style (teams are split into groups and compete in a double-elimination bracket, with a “winners” bracket and a “losers” bracket). The top two teams in each group will advance to the Playoffs.
A Single-Elimination Bo3 format will be used for the Playoffs, while the Grand Final will be Bo5.
Who’ll Win the FISSURE Playground #1?
It’s impossible to determine tournament favorites given that it’s not certain which exact teams will participate and whether or not every one of the top 16 on the VRS will come to the Serbian capital. Theoretically, if they do, the current best-ranked sides would be the main favorites, such as Vitality, MOUZ, Falcons, Spirit, G2, The MongolZ, and so on.
Although it’s too early to view the odds, betting on the FISSURE Playground #1, as a Tier-1 event, will undoubtedly be included on the best CS2 sports betting platforms because Counter-Strike 2 is incredibly popular for eSports betting, controlling the market with 57% of all eSports bets in 2024.
The tournament in Belgrade will be streamed, for sure, on FISSURE’s Twitch and YouTube channels with an English commentary, as well as on BetBoom’s Twitch channels with the Russian and Portuguese commentary. This is for now.
