Features of the Esports World Cup 2025 PUBG: Battlegrounds

The event features 2 main stages:

Group Stage (August 12–13, 2025)

  • 24 teams are divided into 3 groups of 8 (A/B/C).
  • Each group competes in round-robin intergroup play: A vs. B, B vs. C, and C vs. A. Each round has 6 matches, for a total of 12 matches per team over two days.
  • The top 16 teams (by placement + kill points) advance to the Grand Finals, i.e., the Final Stage. The bottom 8 teams are eliminated.

Grand Finals (August 14–16, 2025)

  • 16 teams play 18 matches total (6 per day across 3 days).
  • The team with the highest total points (placement and kills) after all matches is crowned champion.

Here are some details about the match format:

  • Mode: Squads, FirstPerson Perspective (FPP), PC, offline LAN.
  • Match scoring: Standard PUBG point system—teams earn points for placements and eliminations each round.
  • No bestof series—each match is a single full Battle Royale. The overall ranking is determined by cumulative points across all matches.
