Where and When Will the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 Be Held?
The Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 will be streamed online in Europe from May 19 to June 1, 2025. Through production studios in Sweden, all participating teams will compete virtually from bootcamps across Europe.
As 16 elite teams compete for glory and crucial EPT Points that could determine their qualification for future big international tournaments, such as the Esports World Cup 2025 (it serves as the final championship of the current EPT), this competition has a huge US$1 million prize pool and is sure to produce exciting matches, amazing comebacks, and memorable plays. The aforementioned prize pool consists of US$750,000 in Player Prize Money and US$250,000 in Club Reward. Also, 29,200 EPT Points counted for the ESL Pro Tour Season 3: Leaderboard will be distributed among the competitors. This is how the top 4 sides will be rewarded:
- 1st: US$250,000 (US$40,000 Club Reward)
- 2nd: US$100,000 (US$30,000 Club Reward)

- 2nd: 5,000 (Base), 300 (Group Stage 1)
- 3rd: 4,000 (Base), 150 (Group Stage 1)
- 4th: 3,200 (Base)
Which Teams Will Take Part in the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26?
As with all DreamLeague events, teams qualified for Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 using the EPT Ranking System in the following ways: the top four teams from the EPT Leaderboard and 12 teams from regional qualifiers (both open and closed), including the recently created ACL X ESL Challenger China, which takes the place of ESL’s usual qualifier process for the Chinese region to the DreamLeague. This particular qualifying tournament will send the two best-placed sides to the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26. Actually, the ACL X ESL Challenger China is the only qualifying tournament that’s yet to be concluded, as all the other regional tournaments are over and have already given their representatives to the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26.

Features of the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26
The Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 consists of three stages.
Sixteen teams are divided into two single-round-robin groups of eight teams each, with Group Stage 1 marking the beginning of the event. Every series has two games. Each group’s top four teams move on to Group Stage 2, the next stage, while the other teams are eliminated. In Group Stage 2, all the matches are Bo3, and there’s only one round-robin group of eight teams.
The top two teams move on to the Playoffs’ Upper Bracket. The teams in third and fourth place move on to the Playoffs’ Lower Bracket. The other teams are out. All the matches in the double-elimination bracket Playoffs will be Bo3, except for the Grand Final, which will be Bo5.
Who’ll Win the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26?
It’s clear that the four teams who received direct invites—PARIVISION, BetBoom, Falcons, and Liquid, plus Tundra (five of the top 6 in the EPT Leaderboard; the second-ranked Spirit won’t participate)—are regarded as the tournament’s top picks even before the first games.
In the days preceding the event, Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 betting offers will appear, with the majority of bookmakers offering odds for both individual matches and an overall winner. Betting on the tournament is possible on a number of eSports betting sites, and those are often the most popular bookmakers for eSports that offer Dota 2 tournaments.
Team Secret and Team Falcons have the most titles won (three each) in the history of the DreamLeague, which dates back to 2013. The fact that the tournament is broadly accessible across platforms like Dota TV, Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Gaming, Kick, and TikTok, and that in multiple languages, has facilitated its extensive reach (Season 25 has attracted substantial viewership, with peak numbers reaching 240,378 concurrent viewers and a total of over 18 million hours watched). Of course, ESL Gaming’s official Twitch and YouTube channels are places to start looking for the Dota 2: DreamLeague Season 26 streams.

The ESL One Bangkok 2024 and ESL One Raleigh 2025 champions. | 3rd-ranked on the EPT Leaderboard. The winners of the BLAST Slam I. The DreamLeague Season 24 runners-up and FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 champions. Individual strength. They show remarkable resilience and fighting spirit. | 4th-ranked on the EPT Leaderboard. The DreamLeague Season 24 champions. To ensure that they always acquire the rune or offer “Malr1ne” the edge, they give priority to their midlane. | 5th-ranked on the EPT Leaderboard. The BLAST Slam II and FISSURE Playground 1 winners. In 2025, they began showcasing a different style of play, with a much greedier offlaner. |
CONS | They lack stability. 5th-6th place in the BLAST Slam II and 7th-8th place in the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4. | They struggle to find enough opportunities to create favorable situations on the map. 5th-6th place in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025. | They are still far from their best. 9th-11th place in the PGL Wallachia Season 4. | They are dropping games prematurely. Their carry, Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov, considered among the best, if not the best, player in his role in current professional Dota, took a career break. |
