As the tournament name says, Dota 2: BLAST Slam II is part of the tournament series under the name BLAST Slam, introduced last November. In the Dota 2 schedule for 2025, it’s listed as a Tier-1 tournament. The top teams from around the globe compete in these tournaments, which usually have an exceptional prize fund. They are particularly prestigious in the eSports realm and are frequently organized by reputable franchises, such as BLAST, which expanded its portfolio of tournaments (it only organized CS2 events since 2017) to Dota 2 in 2024. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB), which co-organizes all the nation’s major eSports events, is supporting Dota 2: BLAST Slam II.
Where and When Will the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II Be Held?
As previously announced, Singapore (the venue is yet unknown) will host the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II from February 3–9, which will be a significant step in the development of the country as a hub for eSports and gaming. In order to bring this and a number of additional Dota and Counter-Strike events to Singapore, BLAST has partnered with AEG Presents Asia, one of the biggest live entertainment organizations in the world.
Ten teams will compete for an impressive prize fund of US$1 million. Depending on where they finish in the competition, they’ll receive their portion of the prize. The table below shows the precise distribution of the prize fund.

Which Teams Will Take Part in the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II?
There are 10 teams in the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II, as we’ve already stated. Similar to the initial BLAST event, there won’t be any open qualifiers for this one either. As there are no qualifiers for this tournament, we’ll have to wait for the info on the 10 teams that will be invited.A round robin Group Stage will precede a single elimination tournament in the Playoffs for Dota 2: BLAST Slam II. The 10 participating teams will be split into two groups of five, Group A and Group B, for the Group Stage. A best-of-one (Bo1) format and a King of the Hill structure will be used for the Group Stage matches. This means that the teams will be seeded as follows after the initial stage of the tournament:
- The first-place teams are seeded for Semifinals.
- The second-place teams are seeded for Quarterfinals.
- The third-place teams are seeded for Round 2.
- The fourth- and fifth-place teams are seeded for Round 1.
The Dota 2: BLAST Slam II – Group Stage will only last one day if the BLAST Slam I serves as a model.
There won’t be an Upper or Lower Bracket because the Playoffs are a single-bracket elimination. A team will be eliminated immediately after losing a series. In the playoffs, each team will compete in a best-of-three series (Bo3). A best-of-five (Bo5) format will be used for the Grand Final series. If we follow the playing dynamics of the BLAST Slam I, the Playoffs will take place over five days.
Who’ll Win the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II?
Even though we’d gladly share our more exact predictions on the tournament in Singapore, until the names of the participating teams are announced, we can’t do so. However, looking at the first BLAST-organized Dota tournament, we expect that most of the Top-10 teams from the Dota 2 world ranking at the end of 2024 will appear in the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II, such as the defending champions BetBoom Team (ranked as # 2), the first-ranked PARIVISION, Tundra Esports (BLAST Slam I vice-champions and # 3 in the Dota ranking), etc. For now, we’ll mark these three teams as the most serious candidates to win.
Just like was the case with the inaugural edition of the BLAST Slam, Dota 2: BLAST Slam II is certainly to be available for wagering on a number of eSports betting websites. There are many online bookies throughout the world that offer betting choices for the BLAST Slam in 2025, including both unregulated and licensed, i.e., legal markets, which we suggest that you use.

Features of the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II
With the BLAST Slam series, the Danish eSports organization hopes to solidify its position in the professional Dota 2 scene, although it has already staged a number of Dota 2 competitions before. Additionally, a planned tournament series aimed at enhancing its position in the competitive ecology of the game is being carried on with the Dota 2: BLAST Slam II, which is one of four “slams” this year.
BLAST believes the second edition will boost the low viewership of Slam I. While the viewership of BLAST Slam I peaked at a little over 200K, several other Dota 2 tournament organizers have seen peaks of well over 300,000, with some even approaching half a million. The BLAST Slam I was marginally inferior to other well-known third-party series in the Dota 2 competitive scene. The results of the first BLAST Slam tournament are comparable to those of many other third-party tournaments, even though it didn’t immediately become the most popular Dota 2 Sports event.
