Features of the Apex Legends Global Series: 2025 Midseason Playoffs
The Apex Legends Global Series: 2025 Midseason Playoffs, which are part of Apex Legends’ new 2025 eSports structure, will have three stages.
In the first stage, which is formally termed Pool Play, all 40 teams will be divided into two groups of 20. After 10 games, the Pool Play will be over, and the top seven teams from each group will advance directly to the Finals. Those that finish between eighth and 17th in the Pool Play will go to the semifinal, which is formally known as the Last Chance Qualifier, while teams ranked 18th to 20th are eliminated from the tournament.
Twenty teams are divided into two equal groups of 10 each for the Last Chance Qualifier, which consists of another 10-match series. The top six teams advance to the Finals. The remaining teams are eliminated.
The ultimate champion will be decided by the competition between the top 20 teams from the first two phases. The Match Point Format will be used in the Finals, with the victor being the first team to reach 50 points and then finish first in subsequent games. Based on the total number of points won during the series is how the remaining teams will be ranked.
Who’ll Win the Apex Legends Global Series: 2025 Midseason Playoffs?
Given that only five teams have secured their berths in Riyadh thus far, it’s too early to designate favorites. On the other hand, the eventual winner is likely to be found among these sides, given that they are coming to the tournament as the best-ranked teams at such an important event like the Apex Legends Global Series: 2025 Open.
Most bookmakers, such as Zimpler esport betting platforms, currently provide Apex Legends betting on major competitive events. However, with more than a month until the start of the game’s tournament and only one-eighth of all competitors known thus far, it’s premature to expect to find odds for betting on the outcome of the event at the Esports World Cup 2025.
We’re not exaggerating when we state that the Apex Legends competition at EWC last year was historic. With a startling 13 games, the Finals were the longest ever played. Nobody had any idea how difficult it would be to take the throne. In order to be the EWC Apex winner, teams had to win a game after reaching match point, which was reached by 60 points from kills and placement under the Match Point Format. Team Falcons advanced to match point ahead of all other teams in the Grand Finals, giving them an early advantage. Over the next seven games, eight teams in total reached match point, but nobody was able to secure the championship. That is, until Alliance eventually regained control of their destiny in Game 13. They were the ones that rose to the occasion, winning their first Finals victory when it counted most to become the Apex Legends EWC champions, even though they barely survived the Finals.
The Apex Legends Global Series: 2025 Midseason Playoffs will be streamed on all primary and auxiliary Twitch channels of EWC, while some games may also be broadcast on the game/publisher’s channels.
