Meeting statistics

The current form of Top Esports

Based on the Play-In results, it appears that Top Esports are struggling. First, the second-ranked Chinese team was driven into a battle by the Brazilian team LOUD, and Fnatic won the map against them. Given that this is Top Esports’ first-ever appearance at MSI, some “slipping“ on the main stage is to be expected. Errors aren’t tolerated in the MSI main stage, though.

All things considered, the Chinese team was a positive shock on the main stage. To begin with, they wrecked the North American champs and nearly defeated the mighty Gen.G. It’s evident that betting sites with low deposit have faith in this team even though they fell to Lower Bracket, but beating G2 won’t be simple.

With three roster changes, Top look quite strong going into the 2024 campaign. In addition to adding the former JDG top laner, Tian “Meiko“ Ye, the Worlds 2021 champion and former EDward Gaming member, joined the squad as well. He was one of Top’s most underappreciated reinforcements. He finished third among support players in KDA and assists during the LPL Spring Split playoffs, keeping his GPM from falling too low. His fourth-place kill percentage is likewise quite respectable. It’s important to remember that “Meiko“ participated in the second-most postseason games of any support player.

The current form of G2 Esports

The only Western team to win the MSI trophy thus far is precisely G2 Esports, who did so in 2019. Since then, representatives of LPL and LCK have largely controlled MSI. Regardless of the fact that the Eastern teams make Europeans appear stronger than they were in the previous year, Chinese teams (LPL) have won the last MSI tournament and two before that: three in a row. Because there are no defending champions this year, this may be G2’s greatest opportunity to take MSI by surprise.

Since joining G2 in the 2018 offseason, 12-time LEC champion Rasmus “Caps“ Winter has been the German team’s major asset, and he’s been playing well this year too. The recent success of G2 in the LEC Winter and Spring Splits has demonstrated how far ahead they’ve gone compared to the rest of their opponents in the West. Additionally, “Caps“’s positive impact on a play is evident in the performances of “Samurai“ during the LEC Spring Split playoffs; he’s undoubtedly the squad’s leader: his average KDA among all mids is 6.2.

With both legs firmly on the ground, the European champions stormed into the competition right out of the gate and nearly defeated the reigning world champions, T1. However, the Berliners were unable to handle the experienced opponent embodied in “Faker“ in the battle on the fifth map even though they had all the advantages in the draft and the first half of the map’s playtime. G2, who were then placed in the Lower Bracket, defeated PSG Talon by showing class and are primed to shock the Chinese mainland’s representatives in the following round.

Head-to-head

The teams haven’t played each other before, so this will be their first head-to-head confrontation in the professional LoL.

Match analytics

Indeed, the Chinese are the favorites, particularly in light of their spectacular display against Gen.G, but the European champions have previously demonstrated that they are capable of pulling off upsets against the strongest opponents. By the way, at this MSI, Top Esports don’t appear to be an unbeatable squad.

We predict a full-fledged Bo5 clash out of which Top Esports will emerge as the victors. Correct match score 3-2 for Top Esports with odds of 4.20 on Sven-play might be the bet worth consideration.
