Meeting statistics

The current form of T1

T1 is a preferred side by bookmakers for eSport in this match.

T1 placed second in three straight events in 2022: MSI, LCK Summer, and Worlds, after winning in LCK Spring 2022. Such a “top-2 curse” continued throughout the 2023 campaign. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and teammates placed second in LCK Spring 2023, and then third at MSI 2023.

For T1, LCK Summer 2023 posed a significant obstacle. Though it was difficult, they managed to qualify for the playoffs. Faker, the main man, was having issues. The renowned mid-laner sustained a hand injury, which clearly had an impact on T1’s overall playing conditions. However, Faker rejoined the team in time for the postseason, in which his side reached the grand final. They lost it crushingly, 0-3, to their archenemy Gen.G.

At Worlds 2023, T1 accomplished a feat never before accomplished by any team in the history of eSports. T1 advanced to the most significant League of Legends tournament’s grand finals for the sixth time and went on to win it for the fourth time—a record in both competitive League of Legends and eSports overall.

T1 had some difficulties during the LCK Spring 2024 regular season, placing third with a 15-3 record. Surprisingly, after showing no proper resistance in the game against Hanwha Life Esports (0-3), T1 got off to a bad start in the championship playoffs. With two wins in the lower playoffs, T1 placed in the top two and became the second, and also the last, Korean team at MSI 2024. T1 easily made it to the bracket stage of the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 Play-In, where they had a 3-2.

The shooter Lucian (4 games, 100% wins) is T1’s most successful champion.

The current form of Nongshim RedForce

Roster-wise, Nongshim Red Force lack stars. It’s one of the lowest-quality teams in the top League of Legends region, but it’s still an established mid-table team in Korea. Since 2021, Nongshim RedForce have been competing in the LCK. It turned out to be the best year in the organization’s short history as well: NS RedForce placed sixth in LCK Spring 2021 and fourth in LCK Summer 2021, as well as third in the Regional Finals, but not enough to go to the Worlds.

In 2022, things started to deteriorate for the team. In both LCK Spring 2022 and LCK Summer 2022, Nongshim RedForce placed in the top 8. NS RedForce can be regarded as the weakest team in the region during the 13 LCK tournament seasons. They finished in the bottom, 10th place, at LCK Spring 2023, and they were very close to that finish at LCK Summer 2023 (top 9).

Jung “Jiwoo“ Ji-woo is the lone member of Nongshim RedForce from the previous season. Four new players make up the remaining roster. Nongshim RedForce finished in the top 8 in LCK Spring 2024. They lost against FearX in their debut match at LCK Summer 2024. Gragas (6 matches, 100% wins) on the center line is NS RedForce’s most successful champion.
