Gen.G Esports began the 2025 season by competing in Group Elder at the LCK Cup 2025. Despite having a very difficult campaign, they came in second with a 3-2 record. This led straight to the playoff semifinals, or Round 2, because of the updated LCK format. Even though they were the favorites, they lost 2-3 against Hanwha Life Esports there.
