PGL, eSports Tournament Organizer, Partners With 1xBet for 2 Years

One of the most well-known eSports tournament organizers in the world, PGL, has partnered for two years with 1xBet, a gambling operator that ranks #46 globally in terms of sports betting traffic.

An organizer of eSports competitions PGL—a Romanian studio, video production business, and event organizer best known for hosting Dota 2 and Counter-Strike eSports tournaments—has partnered with Cyprus-based online gambling operator 1xBet (ranks #46 globally in terms of sports betting traffic by Similarweb) for a two-year period. The agreement means that 1xBet will be PGL’s sole betting partner for its Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 events through the end of 2026.

According to a press statement, PGL and 1xBet have partnered to give the bookmaker the ability to broadcast live matches on its own website. Additionally, as part of the agreement, 1xBet will sponsor PGL events, starting with their Counter-Strike 2 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on February 14, 2025. In particular, 1xBet will include its brand in the streams and run advertisements throughout event broadcasts.

1xBet Is Well-Known eSports “Player”

The eSports sector is nothing new to 1xBet. One of the most renowned betting bookmakers worldwide collaborated on a number of projects with organizations like Bestia and OG Esports just last year. Additionally, this isn’t the first time that PGL and 1xBet have partnered.

The two sides joined together for the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major, with the betting company serving as the event’s main partner. Similar collaborations have also been formed between 1xBet and a number of event organizers. It joined together with Skyesports in 2023 to sponsor the Skyesports Masters, a franchise-based Counter-Strike league in India.
