Players from the leading Russian Premier League, also known as the Mir Russian Premier League for sponsorship reasons, clubs – CSKA, Krasnodar, Lokomotiv, Zenit, Rostov, and other teams – have an account at the Curaçao-licensed betting operator, 1win.
1win Refuses to Pay Hackers, Players’ Names Go Public
At the end of last year, hackers broke into the bookmaker and downloaded all the personal data of the company’s clients. The owners of the operator, who don’t even have a license to work in Russia, unlike licensed Russian betting sites, said that anonymous people demanded US$15 million from them so that the archive wouldn’t be publicly available. 1win didn’t pay that money, and the database was leaked.
There are 100 million people in the database, among whom are rising RPL stars Alexey Batrakov, Matvey Kislyak, and Danila Kozlov
All the players discovered:
- Alexey Batrakov (Lokomotiv)
- Matvey Kislyak (CSKA)
- Danila Kozlov (Krasnodar)
- Dmitry Vorobyov (Lokomotiv)
- David Byazrov (Zenit)
- Kirill Glebov (CSKA)
- Ruslan Slavin (CSKA)
- Yaroslav Sosnikhin (Krasnodar)
- Daniil Shantaly (Rostov)
- Alexey Mironov (Rostov)
- Ilya Gribakin (Krylia Sovetov)
- Alexey Baranovsky (Orenburg)
- Danila Prokhin (Orenburg)
- Maxim Boldyrev (Akron)
- Maxim Glushenkov (Zenit)
The football players found in the database may face a lifetime disqualification, since players are prohibited from betting according to the Russian Football Union (RFU) regulations.
